And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. ( Rev 21: 5)
Welcome to 2025! You may wonder what this new year will bring. While only the Holy Spirit truly knows, one thing is certain: this is a time for new beginnings. If you are a Christian, don’t give up on the power of intercession. I believe that 2025 is a pivotal year for the body of Christ—a time of open doors and new opportunities.
Please continue to pray for our leaders, families, friends, and even those who oppose us. As I write this, I am reminded of the tragic incident in New Orleans, where a troubled man drove a truck into a crowd of people, resulting in the loss of 14 lives. My heart goes out to the families affected, and I pray for God’s comforting mercy upon them.
This year, let’s not take our loved ones for granted. When you find yourself awake in the night, use that time for prayer. Someone’s life might hang in the balance. Consider Lot’s example in the word. God spared his life!
“And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.” (Genesis 19:15-16)
Though it is said that God respects the human will, we see something unusual here: Lot lingered, caught in indecision. Yet, the angel took his hand and moved him to safety. What caused this divine intervention in Lot’s life? Genesis 19:29 tells us that God remembered Abraham and sent Lot to safety. Intercessory prayer is powerful and can lead to miracles. So, dedicate yourself to intercession this year, and watch God move. 2025 can be a year of great transformation through the power of prayer.
