Build Your Faith. (Study Guide.)

Building a Faith That Lasts

We live in a world that often feels overwhelming and uncertain, which makes a strong spiritual foundation not just valuable — but essential. Drawing from the teaching Build Your Faith, this guide explores what it truly means to move beyond a surface-level relationship with Scripture into a deep, transformative faith.

There are four pillars worth examining.

Know Who You Are in Christ

Faith begins with identity. In Romans 4:17, we see that God renamed Abram — Abraham, meaning Father of Many Nations — long before the promise was ever fulfilled. He wasn’t speaking to what was, but to what would be. In the same way, building your faith requires accepting the identity God has already assigned you, speaking from that place rather than from your present circumstances. When you do, you’ll begin to see that faith move in your family, your community, and beyond.

Let the Word Consume You

Too often, the Bible sits on a shelf — something we glance at to quiet our conscience rather than a living source of strength. Real faith is built when the Word becomes part of you. A personal example: when faced with a stomach ailment recently, turning to sixteen pages of healing scriptures brought genuine comfort and strength. Faith isn’t passive reading. It’s absorbing the Word until it shifts your entire perspective.

Give God Your Time

We rarely lack time — we lack intention. One of the most convicting concepts in this teaching is the Tithe of Time: dedicating roughly 2.5 hours of your day (a tithe of 24 hours) to studying the Word, meditating on Scripture, and praying in the Spirit. The promise attached to this discipline is remarkable — that God can expand and redeem the remaining hours, bringing greater productivity and peace to your everyday life.

Persist in Prayer

The Courts of Heaven represent a posture of prayer where we bring our cases before God and seek His justice. Think of the persistent widow in Scripture — she kept returning to an unjust judge until she received what was right. How much more should we persist before a just and loving God? Whether you’re praying for yourself or interceding for others, approach Him with sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, letting Him guide you in praying with both boldness and grace.

A Call to Spiritual Readiness

Faith, like physical fitness, requires training. Boot camp doesn’t make exceptions — it builds discipline, endurance, and readiness for battle. The spiritual life is no different. We must learn the basics, build the habits, and show up consistently.

The challenge is simple: commit this week to sowing your time. Exercise your faith. Renew your mind. Let the Word of God be your loudest and most constant influence.
