Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.(Ps 139:16)
What is my destiny? People all around the world are wondering about their future. Some turn to diviners or fortune tellers. Others turn to the tarot cards. The question they ask is what is my destiny? What have I been placed on earth to do?
The answer is in God’s word. God has the answers to your destiny. In fact, you can change certain aspects of your destiny by letting God control your tongue. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. (1) Another is by taking the mind of Christ. Scripture tells us that we have the mind of Christ, (2) but we have to do our part. That mind is not going to drop down from heaven and transform your mind automatically.
The word teaches us to renew our minds (Rom 12:2) Our minds have got to be renewed so that we can understand God’s will. As we renew our minds, God will start to show us our destiny and our calling. Joshua had a full-time ministry, that is why he was commanded to meditate in the word day and night. (Joshua 1:8)
When we neglect to renew our minds, we make bad decisions. We start to walk in a path of darkness. Our imagination plays a large part in getting our faith activated for answered prayers. If you can see it, you can get it. When we fall into pornography, stress, and other stinking thinking, it will destroy our imagination and soul. It’s no wonder that Proverbs speaks of adultery and sexual sins as destruction of our souls.
Let’s take the example of Jesus. Jesus, himself, had a book to fulfill (Heb. 10:5-8) He was in contact with the Father and as he renewed his mind, his destiny was revealed to him. Let us take the example of Jesus. Stay in close communication with God and meditate on who you are in Christ and what belongs to you. If you are reading this and don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can start with the first step. Click on the link below (3), pray the prayer of Salvation and find a good church. As you do this, the Spirt of God will unravel your destiny. God bless.
