Four Cups Of The Lord.

Understanding Communion.

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? (Matt 26:17)

Greetings. Enclosed, you will find three of my podcast series on the topic of Understanding Communion. Understanding Communion is so important in our walk with the Lord, and it starts with 4 cups. These four cups were essential in the Passover feast. Let’s explore the four cups–

1-Sanctification- Holiness and Cleansing

2-Plagues–Protection from the plagues of Egypt.

3-Redemption-Deliverance from Servitude and Freedom from Egyptian Bondage. Associated, also, with the splitting of the Red Sea.

4-Praise– Involves Praising God. After this ceremony, the Jews would sing the Halell (Ps 113-118)

During this time, Jesus took of the 3rd cup and instituted a new thing. From the Jewish Passover meal, God created our own Passover meal–Jesus became our Passover. (I Cor 5:7)!

The Real Lord’s Supper.

Many churches associate the Lord’s Supper with a tiny cup of communion along with the wafer, but the word adds more to it. In the Middle East, when you broke bread with someone, it was an invitation to have dinner with the family. (Rev 3:20). So, it was with the Communion elements. A dinner ceremony was given. It was supposed to be a joyous occasion, but it got perverted, and the Apostle Paul had to rebuke the Corinthian church. ( I Cor 11:20-22).

Paul had to warn them to take the Communion elements the right way. Due to their disrespectful attitude, many were getting easily tired. Others winded up sick or died before their time. Brethren, when taking these Communion elements, you must examine yourself.

14 Covenant Promises.

Holy Communion is not only asking God for forgiveness of sins; it involves 14 covenant promises all for you. The good news is that you don’t have to wait for church to observe Communion; you can do it at home. Personally, my wife and I have seen tremendous breakthroughs when you have this ceremony in your home. Once you see the miracles released, it can be addictive. The disciples would break bread every day at their homes. Can you imagine the miracles that were released? (Acts 2:46) So, if you desire to learn more about Communion, click on these links below. God bless.

5- Special treat. This was the song that Jesus and his disciples sang after partaking of the communion elements based on Psalms 113-118. This is a video of the Jews in Israel singing the Hallel in Hebrew next to the wailing wall. Enjoy—https://youtu.be/EAGvxRTCLLg?si=sgg5traInkq1rjHF
